A surprising and very strong pinot noir out of Seneca Lake. The wine is young but intensely aromatic and floral, violets and lilies as if this were Vosne-Romanee, and the aroma lasts until long after the wine was gone from the glass. The wine itself was delicate and cooler climate in style. Not quite as earthy as Burgundy but more restrained in fruit and elegant in texture. It is crazy this wine retails under $25.
