Nicely structured merlot. Oak aging pretty prominent, lots of wood & vanilla on nose along with plum, dark berry and cassis. Plum jam and vanilla on palate, toasty oak notes on finish.

Best affordable Merlot by far. Blueberry and plum type notes, slight smokiness, but perfect balance. A go-to for sure.

The buttery taste of the oak was very strong for me. It also had a slight oily texture. Definitely improved once it had time to breathe. Would do well with food but just not a drink-by-itself wine for me.
