Leave open at least one hour before consuming. Not amazing but just nice. Perhaps not worth $45 but this is a straightforward no-frills Burgundy that hits the right notes. Nice balance of fruit and acidity. The fruit is marked but not overwhelming. The acidity is a little strong but not marring. A good buy from a value appellation.

This is a nice burgundy from Irancy, a relatively remote Apellation within Burgundy.

Light/medium body, aromatic, cherries, mushrooms, dried fruits, dash of leather, purple to red color.
