So, I’m tempted to score this higher based upon the wines pedigree and my affinity for all wine CdP, but I’m rating it where it stands today. I think it’s way too young, have a couple left and won’t check back in for 8-10 years (ok 6-8).
Initially very tight, dry tannin, hard to get much flavor, on the second day the fruit emerged and was showing nicely, but the dry tannins remained though less intense. The 1989 vintage of this wine is one of the best if not the best wine I’ve ever had, pretty sure this will not get to that level, but given some time I think it will shine.
