Bouquet is gorgeous...but then the first sip is SO dry going down! I agree with others about the taste of cedar and bay leaf and smokiness...and yes, pencil shavings!...just wish it had a bit more ripeness of fruit. Not a huge fan of wines that dry out my throat and mouth...maybe I need to let it breathe a little longer? Decant it next time? For $40 I expect a bit more richness.
