First Wine of the Harvest Beaujolais Nouveau Gamay
Beaujolais, Burgundy, France

Ok...So I ride this wave for only one bottle each year, my actions could be forgiven I suppose. I just love Gamay though, even though we all know this is the least influential style ever produced, it's fun for a glass or two...

Nov 18th, 2017Lively. Great acidity. Love the lack of oak. Tasting pears and citrus. I may get a few more bottles and hold for a year or more.

I'm not a big wine expert, and even I know that this is not great.
It has a smell and initial taste of a dry champagne, followed by a red wine flavor. It's just not a natural feel.
Not great. Wish I had spent my $15 on something else.
