MUCH better the second night. I thought being a relatively inexpensive Cali Merlot that it would be ready out of the gate, but it was almost undrinkable last night. The aroma was spot on. Bakers chocolate, ripe red fruit, cedar. But last night it just tasted dead and I thought maybe it was past its prime. Tonight, however, while the nose has started to wane slightly oxidative, the palate has opened and expressed strawberry with a kiss of oak. Not a mind blower for sure, but 24 hours of being opened certainly changed my opinion of it.

Dec 30th, 2014Smells like plums and fresh cherries, tangy taste with no aftertaste. Would go well with dinner.

Dec 7th, 2014Less purple fruits than typical merlot. Green pepper and cherry on the nose, some spice and menthol in the body. Nice smooth lingering finish.
