Nice little entry level Pinot Noir. Nose is powerful and masculine with maraschino and dark red fruit with a hint of cassis. Med+ acid with pronounced red fruit and sharp bright tannins. A bit of early season plum and vanilla round out the palate. Finish is sharp and bright with a bit of green and harshness but cleans up to show some fruit. A bit too much knees and elbows for me

This was a tasty N.Z. Pinot that I would buy again if under $25. Went really well with a braised pork, pear, hazelnut, 🍕!!!!

2014v. Clear Ruby red. Ripe cranberries, raspberries, and a little white button mushrooms. Great mixture of ripe red fruit and earth. Lighter body, good shot of acid. For $15 at Whole Foods, this is a great value Pinot for weeknight dinner or parties. 12.5% ABV.

Oops. Happy accident perhaps as this 2014 pinot opens up slightly petillant. Unfinished secondary ferment likely as no bretty notes. Delicious and on clearance at my Whole Foods. Exploding bottles maybe? I went back and bought all they had.

Took some extra time to air and come into its own. But if you can wait the experience will be much better. The drop has all you would expect in a Pinot.
