A full bodied fruit-bomb indeed, but well made and exactly what I wanted with gochujang fire chicken. Ripe red plum, cherry, boysenberry, pennyroyal, underbrush, toast, vanilla and a real peppery kick on the finish (not alcohol heat, but legit pepper). This wine was way too dense upon release, but 3 years later it has developed really nice depth and big time velvety tannins. A cab drinker’s Pinot.
