This small production (270 cases) wine made by TRB spends 22 months in French Oak and needed a lot of time to come together (decanted over 5 hours). Deep red in the glass, cedar dominated the nose. The wine is tight on the entry but dark fruits, notably plum, shine through. The mouthfeel is light for a cab, and especially for what I've come to expect from TRB, and the finish is short and very dry(ing). This is good but I think just needs more time to come together and soften a bit.

Jan 2nd, 2017Great 2010 wine. Cherry red color, lighter Napa cab with lots of plum flavor. Rounded tannins, medium oak finish. Hints of black pepper up front and anise finish at the end. Also nice mineral and ash help round this wine off. Not quite a Bordeaux and but well rounded napa fruit.
