I agree with the comments about this needing some serious air time - 2011, go figure - but as with the 3 other Les Collines Syrahs I am side by siding it with, it is plummy and tannicly intriguing. It's got game!

Took a long time to open up. One glass on day 1 and then day 6 was fantastic.

Took a good while to open up, even after decanting. But now, lovely. Lots of red and dark fruits on the nose. The palate is similar with white pepper notes and a lengthy finish. The pepper keeps going. Nice.

What can I say, this bottle has ruined me for lesser Syrahs

Cool, complex nose with some dried fruit, leather, smoke. Lingering on the palate with big dried fruit but also good balance, structure, smoke and spice.

Way too early. Open it and try it on about day 4 or 5, then the fruit and nuance begin to come out. Still plenty of acid to spare.
