Showing the vintage a bit, but the restrained hand of the winemaker helps reveal this. Tight knit, modest and elegant. I feel this would still be the case if it was revisited in 5-7 years.

Nice merlot. It's got a great right bank Bordeaux quality but it's definitely a Napa Valley wine. I get good fruit on the nose with some tobacco. I like the mid-palate, it's like cherry with just the right amount of herbal notes. I get great herb and earthiness on the finish, which is very nice. Decant for two hours. I'm eating it with a steak salad and it's spot on.
