Deliciously paired with some steak. A little on the dry side.

This vintage has a weak aroma, but good palate. Intense, with some spice. Medium-full body. More tannins than I care for. Pretty good long finish, though leaving the astringency behind

Blackberry flavour, slightly musky smell? The label said to expect an aroma of violets & liquorice which I couldn't detect, but then I do have a slight cold. Smooth tannins. This apparently was 'best in show', but even after decanting for an hour I didn't get anything from it that excited me.
