Cassis, plums, dark chocolate-covered maraschino cherries, lavender, violets, spices, and thyme. Medium plus acid and alcohol; burns somewhat. Everything settled into balance following an hour decant. Pairing to Persian, more ripe fruit than I wanted from a Stags. Great drinkin' wine though.
