Perhaps just the company tonight, the food pairing or some palate inconsistency on my part but this showed a bit better than my last encounter.
Beautiful (French) oak on the nose and nicely balanced on the palate (if tasted blind and knowing other of Martha McClellan's wines) this would have me in Napa.
I should've bought more and for all you 2011-naysayers....so should you!

Needed 2 hours of decanting. Totally closed on opening. Now tobacco, cherries, leather, very nice tannins. Excellent.

Integrated fruit with soft tannins. Decanted about 90 minutes and it opened right up. Really liking what these guys are putting out. I'll have to visit again.
