California Barrel Fermented Chardonnay

Less acidic than other vintages of this, so a pleasant mineral character comes through to meet the oakiness. Still bright (apricot?) and a little buttery

The sweetness here overwhelms any complexity. I picked up some oak and honey but this is just not my cup of tea.

As far as Chardonnay’s go, this is a lovely example, not too much oak for me.

If you enjoy the oak and toastiness of what chardonnays used to taste like (in addition to the butter), then this is the affordable option for you

Sweeter than expected, but tasty

Nice oak, less buttery than some, slightly crisper and lighter. Nice served cold, a really good value

Almost overwhelming oak with a smidge of Vanilla, buttery notes, and key lime. Creamy with mild acidity. Crowd-pleaser if ever there were one.

Surprisingly good and affordable.
