Surprisingly grassy and herbaceous for such a full-bodied red, with sage, orange peel, pepper/spice, vanilla, mint chocolate, and cassis. Full-bodied, balances tannins and acidity, fairly easy to drink because of the fruitiness.

A nicely balanced can that we selected to pair with lamb chops. Dark berry and a hint of eucalyptus on the nose; palate shows good acid-fruit-tannin balance with a hint of mint. Really nice--2012 shows nicely and could have cellared longer though it clearly doesn't need it for our taste.
