1 hour decant(some fine/cloudy sediment). An appealing dark ruby red color. On the nose: blackberry, dark plum, cigar box, cinnamon, pine, wet forest floor. Taste: smooth, dry, restrained style of wine with savory notes of smoked meat, leather, herbs, with just a touch of fading dark plum/blueberry and a spiced graphite cedar dry finish. Don't think this is going anywhere, so better pop one if you got em and let me know what you think

Opened a 2012 HL Cab. Dark purplish color. Cherry floral and cassis on the nose with some hints of cinnamon and cedar. Blackberry/cherry spice taste initially and a chocolate pencil lead finish. A lush mouth full with lots of body. Medium to long finish. A nice tasteful wine to have on a lovely spring evening on our porch at home. Goes quite nice with cheese and bread (aged Gouda and a mild white cheddar).
