89/100 This is a grown up excellent Ribera de Duero, mainly Cab Sav blend, powerful pure classic wide Cab nose, showing mushroom, staunch cracked black pepper and intense red fruit.
Palate is gravel dry from the very start to the last drop, decanting mellowed it a tad and brings out a wonderful fleshy full mouth feel without inducing shallowness. It delivers concentrated red and black fruit and the next day the finish had improved immensely to match the rest of the wine.
I am normally adverse to reds this dry but this is excellent.
