A very similar violet floral notes very rich bouquet black raspberry exotic spices and some bacon fat here very exotic. Wow bigger but still has balance lots of liqueur fruit with a host of exotic spices and still maintains freshness even though it is very big and lush. Most excellent

Tasting well. Full bodied Pinot with cherries and strawberries notes, along with some darker red fruit. Has really nice balance of structure and acidity.

Not as good as the 2009. Needs to be drunk quickly after opening the bottle. The tannins seem to disintegrate, just leaving fruit, after about an hour in the carafe. Truly delicious right out of the bottle, though. It just doesn't have the depth for an evening of slow drinking. It's ready to drink now and I doubt it will be any better five years from now.

Loving the HB Moon with my wife's chocolate cake and malted chocolate frosting. Unreal.
