San Andeas..creeping into some darker red fruit, def more to offer than the first. This is a blend of all the vineyards...I felt all the wines had a gorgeous minty/pine needle aroma with spice that carried thru..

Friday night and I have opened the 2017 Hirsch Vineyards San Andreas Fault Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir.

The nose reveals good fruit of cherry, raspberry, strawberry, cinnamon, spice, vanilla, rose petal, a touch of oak, mushroom, wet leaves and forest floor.

On the palate there is wonderful notes of cherry, ripe strawberry, red & black raspberry, spice, cinnamon, herbs, light oak and earthy forest floor.

This wine is medium bodied, very well balanced with medium + acidity and medium to + mouth coating soft chewy tannins that leaves you with a long juicy fruit earthy finish. Did everyone have a wonderful week? I sure hope so and I would love that this weekend is going to be safe and healthy for everyone. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

From vineyard to my cellar, drinking wonderfully, great blended fruit that has mellowed, good acidity… great finish… drinking very well, couple years left but not much longer IMO!

So much strawberry jam on the nose. Smelled fantastic. More of the earthy snores started to emerge. Mushrooms. Really good after 3 hours in a decanter.

Fruity but with some spice. Good. Bought with JAL points.

Slight berry notes at inception but then it settles into this elegance and structured Pinot. Easy to drink. Just so smooth.

More dark fruited than usual. Tightly coiled.

Tried this again after a few months break. This time the wine is much better. Had with steak, broccoli and baked potato first night and drank as aperitif the next day. Wine opened up beautifully. Pinot w fineness
