David Hirsch passed away this week - so this is a tough one. Gained complexity with time 4 days under Argon gas line. Mostly raspberry driven. No cherry here….

Jul 31st, 202613.2%. A perpetual favorite. This vintage seems more fruit driven compared to previous renditions. Quite dark. Cherries, raspberries, cranberries and some tea notes, well integrated tannins and dare I say “smooth” mouthfeel. Sadly/unfortunately in a different prize range compared to a decade ago. 75$ or so. Seems high to me.

Easter joy. 2022 and a reverse sear.

Apr 5th, 2026More california fruit compared to the 21 - despite really low alcohol of 13.2%. Big cherry 🍒 driven and some spice. This has bite - I prefer the 2021. Again quite $$$ for what it is.

Mar 24th, 2026Simply ❤️Hirsch. Need more room to hide some away or somehow it’s “just gone”.
