We decided to try the oldest of the two first. Super deep and dark ruby red with purple hues. Complex nose with tobacco, dark cocoa, dark wild berries and cassis. Undertone of talc powder. Palate was definitely a little tight to start. Finally opened up a few hours later and on day 2 with a plethora of dark fruits and berries that completely coated our palates from the front through to the long dry finish. Moderate plus tannins (7.5/10) and full bodied. Stunning wine that needs time to fully develop, it even held itself together and kept opening up on day four! Can easily be cellared for 10 or 15 years. Drink till 2032.
