The 1997 opens fast but settles nicely and lingers on the pallet. Might be slightly past its prime, but delicious and savory nonetheless.

Still incredibly lively. Years to go. Crushed cranberry, tart raspberry, just beginning to take on secondary aromas of forest floor and mushroom. Gorgeous

Big, meaty wine but still with great acidity.

A good mix of rustic power & elegant lift. Structured, but evolved enough to show some sappy, deep red fruit.

This was still youthful and delicious. Very compelling out the gate, then settled to a wonderful bottle.

A real treat. Earthy nose that seemed to change and develop over the course of 2 hours in the decanter. Herbs, rolled into wet earth, charred red meat, and mushrooms. Palate led with sour cherry, tart raspberry, with sage and other herbal nuances. Lively acidity with muted red fruit on the delicate, but lengthy finish. Very cool Burgundy.
