Time for second tasting of the vintage. Still showing great fruit, acidity. Lots of aging potential with a healthy skin tannin structure here. No other updates; I’m just going to enjoy all the cranberry, raspberry and mulberry goodness in this one. To mellow those tannins, decant at least two hours.

Purple-red, good clarity, moderate pigment extraction. Cherry and raspberry notes in nose. Blueberry, raspberry and blackberry flavors, some skin astringency, mint-spearmint note in finish. Acid good. Very nice, great value for an Oregon PN, if you can find it. Bought at winery. Winery tasting notes mention baking spices in nose which I’d agree are present (Mulberry? Not on initial pour, but give it 15 minutes to develop)

I am really just starting to explore Oregon pinots and this is a pretty nice example. This opens up with loganberry and some spice on the nose. A mix or blueberries and raspberries mingle nicely and finished with a little more spice and what I call clay. But I know that is not the correct term. The acid was also in check with this wine. Overall a really nice drinking wine. Have some other samples from them that I can’t wait to try.

Earthy nose. Medium body, slightly dry. Lots of red skinned fruit on the palate.
