Trying some 2017 Napa cabs lately. This is another really good one for a tough year. Lots of life left year. Still a bit tight on open, but 30 minutes later drinking well. BlackBerry, cassis, graphite, black licorice, plum, wet stone. Lovely wine. Surprised by how good some of these 17s are aging. Excited to try them again in a few years. — 21 days ago

Decanted 45 min though think it needs more time, very young wine. Very aromatic fruit when opening the bottle. Dark red fruit - black cherry and plum, raspberry; chocolate, coffee, graphite, pepper, plush tannins, well integrated acidity, high ABV but hides it well. Medium finish. Will be interesting to see this evolve over next few years in the cellar. — 6 years ago

Revisiting this after 3 years. Much more approachable. PNP for sure but develops nicely with air time. Fruit is ripe and sweet, red and black, tannins have softened, structure is solid. Nice mouthfeel, slightly chalky. Black cherry, oak, vanilla, black licorice. Smooth finish. — 10 days ago

1 hour decant(decent sediment). A wondrous dark magenta with bricking. On the nose: Captivating notes of dark fruit, leather, nutmeg, cinnamon, herbaceous, vanilla toast. Taste: velvety, rich wine with dark cherry/plum, potting soil, crushed stone, spice, licorice, and a chocolate espresso long finish. YUM! — 2 months ago

Large nose of black cherry and oak, vanilla. Softened and slightly chalky tannins, beautifully balanced. Great mouthfeel, ripe but not overpowering dark red and black fruit, slight camphor, pencil shavings, wet stone. Very very nice. Medium + finish. Drinking wonderfully now. — 2 months ago
