Always been a big fan of the Lewis Reserve, but this was my first bottle of the Napa Cab. A surprise hit from the 2020 vintage. Black and blue fruit galore, wonderfully balanced and drinking so well right now with a short decant. Like a baby version of the Reserve. Really enjoyable. — a month ago
Ripe red cherry. Grilled game. Black peppercorn. Tannins strong yet softened. Acidity medium minus. 15% alcohol fairly well hidden. Nice mouthfeel though a bit unbalanced. Medium finish. — 3 months ago
A pickup from grocery store in Houston for an after dinner drink. Different. Too ripe black fruit, overpowered by earthy spices. It’s kinda a mess right now, maybe needs more air or bottle time. Finish is spicy and longer than expected. It’s drinkable but wouldn’t buy again. — 9 days ago

Always one of my favorites. The 06 is a beutiful wine. Black and blue fruit, great minerality, tender tannins, wonderfully balanced. Regal texture, just wonderful with my steak tonight. The 06 are drinking wonderfully now. Always a pleasure! — 23 days ago
Excellent wine with a lovely dinner. Fruit is ripe, black and dark red, tannins are supple, well balanced. Medium finish. Always a pleasure this one. — 23 days ago
Very dark, almost black. Floral nose? Black cherry, red and black berries. Still very young, but well integrated. Also hints of licorice, cedar, earthy spices. Nice mouthfeel. Nice finish. — 2 months ago

This wine is absolutely gorgeous! Give it a 30 min rest in the glass. Bright ripe fruit nose. Silky mouthfeel, the perfectly ripe black and blue fruit comes forth, followed by intense minerality, soft yet grippy tannins leaving a slightly chalky mouthfeel. So elegant, such finesse. Graphite, black licorice, blueberry pie, baking spices, hint of mocha. Superb medium-long finish. It’s this experience that makes Dr Crane one of my favorite vineyards. Absolutely love this wine and this vineyard! — 4 days ago
