The first bottle of my 21 Plinth. Black cherry, plum, blackberries. Ripe, not sweet. Graphite, pencil shavings. Wonderfully balanced, and drinking very nicely now. Modest finish. — 3 months ago
Sweet black and red fruit, oaky, juicy mouthfeel. — 4 months ago
Large nose of black cherry and oak, vanilla. Softened and slightly chalky tannins, beautifully balanced. Great mouthfeel, ripe but not overpowering dark red and black fruit, slight camphor, pencil shavings, wet stone. Very very nice. Medium + finish. Drinking wonderfully now. — 4 days ago
Drinking wonderfully now! Seamlessly integrated ripe black fruit, velvety tannins. Oak, vanilla, black licorice. — 2 months ago
My 7th bottle of this vintage. PNP. Ripe fruit, sweet chocolate finish, great mouthfeel. Wonderful wine. — 4 months ago
Less tannic and more fruit forward than what I would expect from a young Howell Mtn cab. Big red and black fruit, ripe, nice mouthfeel but the fruit is dominant. Pretty good deal though finding it at an HEB in Houston. — 4 months ago
Very young. And tight at the open. Yet, there is a freshness that transcends the tightness. With time it opened up and was fresh and extraordinarily balanced. Lovely bottle. I probably won’t open another 23 for several years, but this was really nice and I look forward to seeing this one again. — 25 days ago
Two years since my previous bottle and review. Drinking really well now. Lovely mouthfeel. Ripe fruit, black and blue, Structure holding together solidly. Very good find for 2017 Napa cab. — 4 months ago
Quite enjoyable. Great find while on vaca at grocery store in Houston. — 4 months ago

Wow, almost four years since my last bottle. Big wine! Tannins softened and chalky. Acidity still strong, yet still very balanced with just ripe dark fruit. Charcoal, pencils shavings, granite stone. Great mouthfeel. Long finish! Drinking better than my last bottle with many many years left. — a day ago
