Well a fine example of the Cult Napa style...better structure than I expected but still but ripe for my palate. Wonder how any of these will develop over time.

'09, 96 WA. Massive fruit, somehow both tightly wound and mouth-filling. Spicier than I remembered. Age this for two, three hundred years.

Day 10 of covid isolation and finally a negative test. Yeah!.....had to break out something nice to celebrate. Prior notes mostly apply. This is a beauty of a wine worthy of any celebration. Cheers!

Jun 19th, 20221.5 hour decant (little fine/cloudy sediment). Still a tremendous dark purplish garnet color. On the nose: beautiful aromatics of dark cherry, smoke, slight spearment, rich planting soil, mocha, and some pine. Taste: WOW! Such a smooth, rich, elegant, silky, polished medium plus body wine with plum, crushed rocks, cassis, cedar, tea, and a long very minerally and graphite finish..drinking well now and should for a number of more years...Lucky to have a few more bottles of this magical elixir!!!!

This is a big wine that you can drink by itself. Tannins are still strong, mocha , cassis, leather, deep purple in color. Let it breathe and you will not be disappointed.
