Dark ruby coloration. Some translucency- classic Pinot appearance. On the nose, cherry, dark berry, plum, forest floor, earth, and minerals. On the palate, cherry, plum, dark berry, cola, fruit forward. Jammy. Nice medium to full body with velvety mouthfeel. Nicely balanced tannins and longish finish. — 2 years ago
Almost 3 years since my last bottle of this and my notes are very different. Thought this would be drinking well now but it’s still tight on open. Bright ruby colored, big red cherry and tobacco nose. Red fruit, earthy, tight. — 7 days ago
A beautiful Mornington Peninsula Pinot drinking at its peak. A nice blend of red fruits and earthy nuances - M+ intensity on the palate. Again the lightness in colour belies that palate intensity - a sweet palate. Main Ridge Estate was an early producer in Mornington and remains highly rated - Half Acre being their Premium Cuvée. Bottles from this estate are not readily available even in Australia. NOTE DELECTABLE - this Cuvée is the Half Acre Not the Acre. — 18 days ago
The perfect Pinot! Well balanced, juicy but not sweet. Loved it! — 5 years ago
Double decant and pour(little fine sediment). A striking dark magenta color with some bricking. On the nose: dark fruit, herbaceous, worn leather, touch of stewed meat, sweet vanilla toast. Taste: silky, rich, nice depth wine with dark cherry/plum, soil, crushed gravel, dried herbs, smoke, and a peppery chocolate espresso medium plus finish. YUM!!! — a month ago
3 hour decant. Black and blue fruit, herbs, oak, cedar, depth, bacon, green olive, pistachio. — 10 months ago

The pro ratings got it right. A good wine that adds a lot to dinner. Not an elite wine, but it’s not trying to be. — 16 days ago
