A beautifully aged ducru that had no cork issues and that was punching above its wait class! Typical tertiary flavors of forest floor, leather and cigar box - with livery dark fruit in the glass. This was the first 70’s Bordeaux that brought a smile! — 12 days ago
Always fun to explore an indigenous varietal from Spain - especially when Alvaro Palacios is involved. I found this Mencia wine to be medium bodied with good acidity and structured tannins that were present in this young wine but not obnoxiously so. The fruit is darker dried red fruit that proved to be a good compliment with grilled shishito peppers. It was so nice to dive into a new aspect of Spain’s wine history. — 21 days ago
Yellow with a greenish hue in color. Lime on the front palet and tart green apple on the back palet. Crisp and fresh. There was definite improvement after being opened for a day, recorded, and stored at 40F. I’m still warming up to the Grüner varietal!!! — 11 days ago
I found this Garnacha on the lighter side (from other Garnacha!) but enjoyable for an afternoon glass on its own. Well structured. — 12 days ago
Lively bouquet on the nose and rich crème brûlée on the palette. A wonderful aged white burgundy — 13 days ago
Medium deep color with some spice and fruit. Not a great wine but enjoyable to experience a Cabernet franc from Chinon in Loire — 12 days ago
Rich color in the glass with dark cherry and plum flavors front and center. What a delight to experience! — 12 days ago
Deep garnet color - strikingly so from the Garnacha blends that I was tasting from Priorat. Dark cherry and plum with coarse black pepper on the nose and in the glass. Tasted blind - but so clearly a gem from the southern Rhône. — 13 days ago
Deep amber color in a 375ml format. Non-descript on the nose with a hint of neutral oak. Clean and clear in the class with rich honey and a finish of candied orange peels. Some soft floral notes that I cannot fully discern. An amazingly good pairing with Asian inspired honey beef stir fry — a month ago

Deep garnet in color to match rich dried dark fruit on the nose. Plum and dried black currants in the glass with fresh acidity and firmly integrated tannins. This wine is at its peak and should be consumed soon if you have some in your cellar. — 2 days ago
