Volcanic fire and brimstone on the nose. Subtle red cherry fruit on the palette with a complement of rich minerality. An initial tannic structure rapidly transformed into soft and subtle tannins after a short time in the glass. Appropriate for an afternoon glass on its own or with a light lunch — 16 days ago
Wonderfully clean and fresh presentation with great acidity and roundness. Subtle grapefruit - not tart and not sweet - that provides a strong framework that anchors this wine in contrast to a white burgundy’s minerality. A wonderful wine with seafood!. — 22 days ago
Lovely expression of Priorat in a bottle!!! Muted red fruit on the nose with medium ruby color in the glass. On the palete one is rewarded with red cherry, raspberry and strawberry with slate minerality a plenty. This is a real treat from Palacios to the lucky drinker!! — 2 days ago
Lovely as a young wine with rich red fruit and a backbone of black pepper and savory spice. I would love to revisit this wine in a decade!! — 22 days ago
Deep garnet in color to match rich dried dark fruit on the nose. Plum and dried black currants in the glass with fresh acidity and firmly integrated tannins. This wine is at its peak and should be consumed soon if you have some in your cellar. — a month ago
Medium deep color with some spice and fruit. Not a great wine but enjoyable to experience a Cabernet franc from Chinon in Loire — 2 months ago
Deep garnet, with volcanic mineralogy and black cherry on the nose. Mild tannins that provide structure supporting moderate acidity (14%) and some mild oak notes. Fantastically paired with tomato-based Napolian fried pizza. Aglianico is a varietal worthy of attention… — 4 days ago
My first exposure to Don Melchor was rewarding! Rich, dark fruit maturity on the nose was consistent with long lasting dark cherries and red plum on the palette. Soft tannins reminiscent of a well aged Cabernet, the softness of this young cab was surprising and delightful! An absolute treat to taste!! — 22 days ago
Yellow with a greenish hue in color. Lime on the front palet and tart green apple on the back palet. Crisp and fresh. There was definite improvement after being opened for a day, recorded, and stored at 40F. I’m still warming up to the Grüner varietal!!! — a month ago
