Really enjoyable having this next to the ‘85 Duckhorn merlot. More musty/dirty upfront but really came around after about 30mins. Faint blackberry and black cherry notes, but mainly bay leaf, tobacco and leather. Still has good structure. Thanks @Benjamin Keator

Still lively! A bit of sweet vermouth spice when popped, blew off quickly. Very beautiful wine
