Nice black and purple fruit on the nose with a bit of earth and funk that mostly blows off after 30 min. Similar palate with dusty tannins. This was better a few years ago, but it is still quite good. Drink now.

A generous gift from Dr. W to celebrate the arrival of my daughter. From 375 ml. 1st of 2 bottles. 30 min decant.
Very french nose of earth, leather, and black fruits. Firm, but nicely integrated tannins in excellent balance with the fruit. Medium body, with palate of cassis and pencil lead. Drinking very well now from the 375 ml, but could age another 5 years.

Rich texture, velvety. Decanted for a few hours and it got much better. Had the 2007.

Half bottle bought ex winery and gloriously rich, complex and long. Long life ahead and one wonders at the longevity of the 750ml. Dark fruits, coffee, bramble palate with some licorice strap and anise, ends super long. Very smart. Very!
