At first it was very fresh cherry juice with a regal touch. As 2 hours unfolded so did the sophisticated nature of its expression. The bouquet got more heady, the flavor more complex and fleshed out, deep, highly integrated, still on the feminine side. Splashes of nobility caressed my senses for the last 1/3rd of this bottle. Amazing Bourgogne Rouge! Only 12 bottles for the state. He makes this for the pickers. Any left over has gone to Italy and Japan. Comes from parcels below Chambolle and Gully les Citeaux. Wish I had more to drink or sell!
