A Merlot Bordeaux? Seems a little redundant or perhaps an American is in charge of the marketing. My expectations were low and overall met. 2005 was a great year for Bordeaux, so it's worth the gamble on an inexpensive red every once in a while. This glass started promising, but it loses structure and consistency. Kind of like looking at a completed puzzle only to have it fall apart after your 1st look. Not terrible, but you can find a better inexpensive red. Cheers!
