Big for Prosser, but that's what 2012 gave everyone. A crowd pleaser, but still typical JK Carriere with a touch of funk, good acid and soft tannins.

For the money, hands down in my top 10 for Oregon Pinot Noirs under $30. Love what Prosser does with minimal intervention--allows the fruit to express itself on its own. Beautiful color, rich with a perfect balance of acidity and fruit. Dark rich black raspberry with earthiness.

J. K. Carriere, Provocateur Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. A darker Pinot. More black than red fruit A hint of new oak and just a little tannic. I expected more, good not great.
