Clear, pale ruby in color; on the nose, it's clean with intense primary and secondary aromas of cedar, almond, and cranberry; on the palate it's off dry with high acidity, medium tannins, medium alcohol, full body, and pronounced primary and secondary flavors of black cherry, black pepper, and crushed gravel with a medium finish. This wine is intense and complex, but with secondary aromas that overpower the fruit. It pared well with a pork chop and fettuccine alfredo. Nellie liked it with food. Overall, I rate this wine as good.
