Created by José Maria da Fonseca in 1850, Periquita is made from Castelão (kah-stay-lao) grape, an indigenous variety that thrives in southern Portugal. Deep Ruby with aromas of berries and pungent spice. On the palate blackberry and blueberry flavors with vanilla oak spice. Soft tannins with lively acidity on medium finish ending with soft spice notes. Good value. Tasting Sample.
