Very good but not quite as ashy as the last time we had this.

Red cherry, hard candy (cough drop?), fine tannin, great acid but fairly firm and short

The tannins are strong with this one, as a sour cherry tartness dominates the finish. I could’ve used a little more earthy funk but there was a solid undercurrent of dried herbs after it opened up. A good burgundy for the price, with a beautiful, light color.

Worthy 'lesser' village Burgundy from a good vintage & producer. A bargain at present (£13.50ish) with 25% off at Waitrose. Affordable luxury.
