Tight on day one, a bit more richness the next day w some angular new oak flavors.

Ash and smoke on the nose. Faint hints of plum and currant but this wine is all about heavy toasted barrels. Way overdone.

Funk, coffee, and barnyard aromas with lots of flavor and great acidity.

2010 rouge

Just reliably delicious. In a perfect place. Not the most complex wine ever but you can’t not love it.

Very nice premier cru burgundy from 2010. Paired with duck breast with a cherry / red wine sauce. Decanted 3 hours, but didn’t change a ton. Surprisingly quite ready to go, though definitely all “primary”. Delicate cherry aromas, quite precise and fine grained. Not the most complex burg by any means but quite enjoyable.
