Tonight's wine we have opened is the 2019 Joseph Phelps Freestone Vineyards Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir.
On the nose there is very nice notes of cherry, raspberry, pomegranate, clove, cola, vanilla, dried flowers, smokey oak and dusty earth.
On the palate we can find cherry, raspberry, pomegranate, baking spice, vanilla, black tea, minerality and earth.
This wine is a medium bodied with a velvety mouthfeel medium + acidity and medium fine tannins that move easily into a long red fruit vanilla earthy finish. A very nice well structured pinot that should last for many years to come. I hope everyone's weekend has started off right and are in a good place. Stay safe and healthy and continued positive waves. Very nice pinot to celebrate my looong interview day! 37.49 from total wines. Ruby color with cherry, strawberry, wood, floral, earth/ mushroom. Spice and very acidic when it goes down. Mid alc, light- Med body, use more balance but love a fruity pinot!
