Beaujolais Gamay

The next great one...

The kind of wine that proves Beaujolais is anything but common. Smells like a box of crushed cranberry chalk drizzled with strawberry balsamic (I actually have strawberry balsamic! It's a thing!) and tastes like tart, cherry-plum bubblegum. Fast and fun, but graceful and stylish; a Holly Golightly.

For the money....I vote metras or dutraive. This was only slightly above the standard in the category.

Light and tasty. Perfect for a Wednesday night with the wife.

Stunner

Funky, strawberry balsamic aroma, nutty yeasty taste thats both fun and elegant, light and intense. Easy to drink and structured. Beautiful.

Bandaid delisciousness

Slightly everescent, with a yeasty aftertaste. Fresh and juicy

Fun, bright young Gamay. All vines on steep slopes, all picked my hand, left in bunches, no temp control. Soil is clay, pebbles and sand. Like ripe juicy strawberries on the nose. Super easy to drink.

But a high 14% for the 2015 vintage make me want to invest in German wines.
