This a great showcase of a grape that doesn’t always have a good rep. Certainly on the second day this wine was showing very well rounded and harmonious characteristics. Very fruit-forward with a pleasant scent. Would definitely buy again.

Dull, deep ruby colour, legs.
Clean, with medium(+) intensity. This wine is developing. Secondary aromas of roast coffee, smoke, chocolate, charred wood. Also stewed black fruit (blackberry,
black cherry), some dried fruit (prune, fig), pungent spice (licorice, white pepper). Some developed aromas of
meat, tobacco, forest floor, leather.
Dry, with medium(+) acidity, medium(+) tannin, full-bodied, high alcohol. Long finish.
Very good quality, can drink it now but has potential for further ageing.
