See several previous Delectable notes for this wine. They still apply. Trademark raspberry notes with an earthy twist. Quite a sweet palate. Have a bottle left which I’ll probably have in the next year or two. From McLaren Vale which I believe is the best district for Grenache in Australia.

Griffon’s Key is Kay Brothers Reserve Grenache. Aromatic notes of Raspberry and other red fruits - red currant. The palate shows Jujube confectionery and chocolatey notes. Probably a bit young to be drinking this excellent McLaren Vale Grenache. I have always preferred McLaren Vale to the Barossa when it comes to Grenache. Has the structure to go on for another 5 to 10 years. Next in around 18 months to 2 years. Had another bottle 170 weeks later on 6th October 2023: Dark red crimson. Dirty raspberry - that same jujube character mentioned in previous notes. Barely medium weight - an excellent Grenache from one of Australia’s best terroirs for the grape.
