Ken Wright Cellars
Shea Vineyard Pinot Noir

Seems big and extracted, with more than a dash of pruney oxidation. It's been cellared well, so I'm wondering if this is how this wine should be, or a plastic nomacorc flaw? Not great.

Much better than what seemed like a heavily reduced bottle a few years ago. This was good and got better over the course of the evening. Nerve, not overly extracted. Drank more like a 10 than an 09. Quite like it and surprised

Feb 17th, 2016Thought this might have been past it’s prime. Glad we weren’t right. Was fantastic. It was as bold as a cab in our opinion. Not sure if I will ever see a Pinot this mature.

Nov 20th, 2018This is like a Napa Cab of Pinots. Huge dark sweet fruit. Big mouthfeel. Didn't think much of it on its own, but went great with venison burgers

Mar 22nd, 2017A lot of nice fruit up front. Doesn't have quite the same earthiness as other Shea Vyds can have.
