The structure on this is just unbelievable. I have 3 more bottles in the cellar thank god. Smoke and pummeling earth, tannins surround the entire experience almost instructive, chocolate and sweet vanilla from American Oak, slightly petrol quality and forest floor/wet leaves. This is an amazing wine but it’s simply too early. This is after a 6 hour decant. — 6 years ago
Opulent style but terrific. Nuanced, smoke and forest floor. — 6 years ago
This is fantastic. Fierce Napa Valley tannin, eucalyptus and mint, dried fruit and flowers, extraordinary spice and slate. Terrific. — 6 years ago
Fresh and vibrant. Melon, citrus, minerality and punchy peach. — 6 years ago
Though it’s equal parts Carignan and Zin, the Carignan is so dominant on the palate. Oak and sweet vanilla on the nose, juicy red fruit in the front with cherry and underripe plum, mid palate shows medium acidity and slight petrol, finish is a little lacking. — 6 years ago
Delicious. Bright acidity and green quality. Melon and grass with some nuttiness. Racy and terrific with food. — 6 years ago
Credit to the owner: aged perfectly, not a flaw in sight. Cured meat on the nose. Palate is all smoke and ashes, salami, forest floor and dead acidity. What an experience. It’s really showing we for it’s 30 years of age. — 6 years ago
Restrained and green in the palate. Light citrus and stone. — 6 years ago
This CDP is not quite as mind blowing or complex as others I’ve had, but it is quintessentially Rhône with some added uniqueness. Crushed rock, spice, ripe raspberry, tannic and vibrant, slightly chemical and balsamic quality. — 6 years ago

Oaked Chardonnay that is so refined. So balanced. — 6 years ago
