Saw this on the list and knew @Benjamin Keator , @David Schoonover & @Martin G Rivard all raved about it, so I was able to get this by the glass to try! Helen Keplinger is the winemaker. Fruit is from Pritchard Hill, specifically Houyi Vineyard.
Coravined. Nose was super black fruit dominant (currant, ripe blackberries), plush, with a more red fruit finish. Tannic, but it still retained a softness to it. Dark espresso and dates on the palate. Probably needs a proper 2+hr decant. Obviously the pedigree is there from the fruit. Think it’s Houyi vineyard. Really fantastic, and that’s my impression from just a glass!

Yes, you saw that correctly, we are drinking female golfer Kristi Kerr’s wine. And after a 12 hour bottle decant it is absolutely fucking delicious! Great chocolate undertones with good balance. Very much reminiscent of an Anderson’s Conn Reserve Cab or a single vineyard Flora Springs. Not sure the price point in this one but absolutely worth $100 (yes, I know I’m obnoxious)
Yes, you saw that correctly, we are drinking female golfer Kristi Kerr’s wine. And after a 12 hour bottle decant it is absolutely fucking delicious! Great chocolate undertones with good balance. I totally forgot to post this when I opened it the other day. I sent an email to s few of you letting you know how good it was. Absolutely incredible. It was a recommendation from Acme fine wine in Napa. I highly recommend this beauty. The fruit is from historic Yountville and one of my favorite wineries bar none: Houyi!!! This aged in French oak for 22 months. It's lunch with beautiful blue crew dark fruit and a phenomenal finish. The winemaker is Helen Keplinger and owner is Christie Kerr. Bravo to each of you for producing such an outstanding cab! Definitely Badass in a glass. Highly recommend this 👏👏👏👏👏
