Isn't Primitivo from Lodi just Zinfandel? I mean, that's definitely what this tastes like. Big, obvious flavors. Bombastic. Black currant jam or blackberry pie. Baking spices. Lots of oak. Decent acidity despite the 15% ABV, which makes me wonder if they acidified.
