This is a simple Rioja red. Showing red and black fruits with earth, wet leaves, herbs, peppercorn, pencil lead, dark coffee and spices.
Full bodied and spicy with medium finish.
Earthy on the palate and dry.
Good right out of the bottle and gets earthier as it opens up. Tannins show up after an hour of airtime.
A good food wine for the weekday. I paired it with cheeses and light appetizers.

I am afraid that I do not have a lot of experience with Tempranillo! So for this rating I am looking at my taste buds and QPR! Decant of one hour on this...on the nose rich earth, leather and dark cherries. Tastes of cherry liqueur, tar, leather, and anise. Finish is a bit off..but not enough to discount!! I would get this again!

Love this a lot more than we thought we would! Great body (almost like a Cab Sauv), but also drinks light - almost like a Pinot Noir. From what we’ve tasted, excellent flavor and quality. And literally less than $7 a bottle at Costco!

Color of ruby with brown and purple note on the rim. Nose of dried strawberry, oak, cured salty meat, spice, round and polished. Taste is dominated by spiciness, zest, solid tannins, and some tobacco leaves. Aftertaste of some mineral, acidity, some more zest, and tobacco leaves. Less than $7, she is awesome.
