This 09 is exceptional it make me realize that I do in fact like many California Pinot Noirs. Especially ones that taste like this. Still super driven and Young with beautiful notes of hoisin, fresh picked strawberries and dried herbs. Really stunning stuff

2009 Kistler Bodega Headlands Cuvée Elizabeth Pinot Noir. Jaws at HB w J&L B and B&K K. No decanting. Super interesting- tea on the nose- earl grey/black tea. Really fun and different to drink. Great without food.

After some misses, this is an exceptional kistler Pinot noir. Great perfume, terrific tension of cherry and acidity, complex, long beautiful finish. Very Californian but elegant and delicious.
