Perhaps the food and setting enhanced the experience, but this was gorgeous and in a great drinking window. Beautiful nose and just a touch of sweetness, but not over the top.

Notes of sassafras, cola and cherry. After several hours in glass a revisit resulted in black tea and floral aromas. Very intriguing.

Finally a Sonoma Coast Pinot with some age that I am enjoying. Have a lot of SC Pinots but I have lost my love affair with them. This one caught my attention. Have one left and will wait 5 years to see how this develops. Distinctly Cali today.
